February is Black History Month, and Peterborough Pagans would like to take some time to recognize all of our athletes and coaches who are from the Black, African, and Caribbean community.
The 2024 theme for Black History Month is: “Black Excellence: A Heritage to Celebrate; a Future to Build”. This theme celebrates the rich past and present contributions and accomplishments of Black people in Canada, while aspiring to embrace new opportunities for the future.
The theme aligns with the 10th year of the International Decade for People of African Descent and recognizes that people of African descent represent a distinct group whose human rights must be promoted and protected.

Join us on Friday, Feb. 2 for another trivia night at the Peterborough Rugby clubhouse!
Next week, the senior women's team will be hosting another monthly trivia night with the theme of sports and recreation.
Doors open at 4:00 pm with our trivia host hitting the stage at 7:00 pm. $5 to participate for some awesome prizes, and as always, the bar will be operating!

This meeting is open to all club members as we discuss the 2023 season, hear from executives, as well as plan for the year ahead!

Take part in this Level 1 Referee Clinic, starting on Tues. February 20th!
This three-part course is FREE for members of PRUFC looking to become a club referee, with the in-person portion participating in hands on training with Pagan athletes.

New year, new opportunities! 🎉
The Peterborough Rugby Union Football Club is excited to offer upcoming professional development sessions for our valued volunteer coaches and referees.
We understand the importance of staying current with the latest training and techniques, and we want to provide you with the opportunity to do just that. In order to plan these sessions, we kindly request that all coaches and referees complete a brief survey to indicate their availability. These courses are open to all ages.
Our professional development sessions will cover a range of topics including techniques and best practices for both coaches and referees. We ask that each individual sign up for two training sessions at minimum, along with the ones identified as required for all coaches. The format of these session will be through completing e-learning modules together at the Clubhouse over light brunch, coffee and tea.
